Labor MP raided as part of major counter-espionage investigation | Sky News Australia

The Australian Federal Police this morning raided the Sydney home of NSW Labor MP Shaoquett Moselmane, including a number of his vehicles, and is now attempting to raid his parliamentary office. Mr Moselmane has found himself in hot water over a series of controversial comments relating to China, including praising the regime’s handling of the coronavirus crisis.

Mr Moselmane has reportedly taken nine privately-funded trips to China since he was elected to Parliament – with some of the costs taken care of by Chinese government agencies. Attorney-General Christian Porter authorised ASIO to gather evidence from anyone suspected of seeking to influence the MP or his staff on behalf of the Chinese government.
