Thousands of residents across New South Wales are on notice to prepare for extreme bushfires before the year’s end.

A rare hat trick of La Nina’s has led to supercharged growth of grass and vegetation across the state.

The New South Wales Rural Fire Service believes more than 2,600 communities are at risk of blazes over the next two summers.
