New South Wales Energy Minister Matt Kean says energy bill increases are a “national problem” requiring a solution to put downward pressure on electricity bills.

“This is a national problem, and it required a national solution, so obviously, we all want to see lower gas prices and lower energy prices across New South Wales and, indeed, across the country,” Mr Kean told Sky News Australia.

“We want to do everything possible to make that happen – this is about protecting Australian energy users. “We’ve worked closely with the Commonwealth government, and in New South Wales, we’ve implemented their coal cap to ensure we put downward pressure on electricity bills.”

Coal and gas price ‘spikes’ are costing Australian families and businessesNew South Wales Energy Minister Matt Kean says coal and gas price “spikes” are feeding through to energy price rises for families and businesses around Australia. “We’re working with the commonwealth to put downward pressure on electricity prices, we’ve done our bit here with the coal cap,” Mr Kean told Sky News Australia. “We’ve put $330 million worth of energy bill relief on the table to support families and businesses at this difficult time – this is not just a national problem, it’s an international problem driven by the illegal war in Ukraine. “We’ve seen huge spikes in the price of coal – in the price of gas and that’s feeding through to domestic energy prices.” Maybe his government should have mandated that our gas be supplied to the domestic market at a reasonable price before export licenses are granted 2023 Albo Labor Delivers It’s Harder to get a bulk billing Doctor & Fees Rising Medication cost up. Chalmers’ ‘new capitalism’ has Australia becoming a new ‘Venezuela’Treasurer Jim Chalmers’ “new capitalism” will see Australia as the “Venezuela of the Southern Hemisphere”, according to Herald Sun Business Commentator Terry McCrann. “He wants to import all the totalitarian, top-down direction policies of big governments spending your money, telling what you can spend what’s left of your money on,” Mr McCrann told Sky News host James Morrow. “It would create hell on earth.” God help us all. Jimbo has never had a real job… political staffer, mp, Treasurer. Never had to balance the books, pay employees, never been an employee in any enterprise. Never made anything. This muppet is going to remake capitalism? This govt’s a dud but now it’s showing it’s true red streak. Sensationalism at its best. Go suck a lemon,
