So many of us are riding an emotional rollercoaster of pain, anguish and frustration

The magnitude of these issues is overwhelming but the actions and awareness of our allies can make a difference in the daily struggle of First Nations people. The magnitude of these issues is overwhelming but the actions and awareness of our allies can make a difference in the daily struggle of First Nations people.Like many First Nations people, the significance of this time of year holds centre stage in my mind. It’s living rent free and eating all of my food.

Every year, I have to take the time to do an internal review on where I am emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually and politically in order to ascertain how I’m going to approach 26 January while considering my safety and mental health. I have attempted diplomacy and handed out the “agree to disagree” phrase like lollipops and was still actively sought out and covered in racist verbal vomit.

Of course we are not all the same. We each have our own experiences, opinions and perspectives. How your brother’s black mate feels about the date may not be the same as I feel. If he calls itand says changing the date means trying to erase history, remember he is not the spokesperson for all First Nations people. For me changing the date would signify a change in the perspective held by an entire nation.

And all other nationalities in Australia get told they are not Australian and are just 💩

Inner city two per centers shit stirring rather than doing anything useful. Embarrassing.

It is that time of the year that most Australians realise that the indigenous community is extremely racist towards all others. The self pity victim card is always on the table. They will never achieve anything for themselves if they continue down this path.

It's Blbecause we don't fall for the fraud that is Invasion Day.

It’s that time of year when they watch privileged white folk go on about an issue then all move on from on January 27.

Where is this racism you speak off? I'll wait...

Piss off with ya baiting

It’s that time of the year when indigenous people realize that they didn’t progress much in 40,000 years, didn’t even think of the wheel. Thank God the British arrived.

Its that time of year when Indigenous people get a harsh reality check that Australia is no longer theirs (though it may have been) and theyre better off for it (if they stop playing the intergenerational victim culture game). Hope youre enjoying your white-man life expectancy 👍

When you see racism everywhere racism is nowhere.

Sowing doubt and confusion about an Indigenous voice is Dutton’s game plan | Lorena AllamIf the Coalition supported a voice to parliament enshrined in the constitution, it would have said so a long time ago “If you don’t understand it, don’t vote for it”. Paul Keating. If albomp won’t trust us with the detail. Then the detail is clearly untrustworthy. A party of tactics, with no plan or policy.

Slow progress closing Indigenous employment gapAmid a push for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ASX 100 chief by 2030, workplace racism and poor retention of Indigenous staff is holding back efforts to reach employment parity. Always seems to be someone elses fault but their own. Their inability to finish high school is probably the larger barrier to becoming a CEO. Let’s fight racism with racism!?!?!?

Voice is the ‘vehicle’ to get ‘better practical outcomes’ for Indigenous AustraliansThe Voice to Parliament is a “vehicle” for getting “better practical outcomes” for Indigenous Australians, says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. “To close the gap, which is there in health, in education, in housing, in life expectancy, in justice outcomes,” he told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. Mr Albanese said the programs that are “most effective” are those which have involved and have the ownership of Indigenous Australians themselves. … except it is Local and State Governments that have the most impact on their lives, not Federal, so it’s another waste of time. Only it's not. The Prime Miniature should get it into his thick little head that anything said/done along racial lines is, by definition, racist. He needs to find some other, legitimate way of currying favour. Why wait then? It can be legislated for asap. We don't need a referendum for that...unless the referendum is the whole point.
