Israel Iran strike: World leaders urge Israeli restraint as hardliners say ‘go berserk’

| Israel’s military chief says the country will strike back against Iran, with hardline ministers urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “go berserk”. World leaders urged Israel not to retaliate.

He also said it was “a point of principle” that “diplomatic missions must not be targeted or attacked”.President Emmanuel Macron told French media that Iran’s “dangerous” attack was a “disproportionate response” to the embassy bombing.
