NSW Labor leader Michael Daley says he always planned to tell 2GB broadcaster Alan Jones 'face-to-face' that he intends to sack the board of the Sydney Cricket Ground Trust if he wins the upcoming state election.
The state Labor leader says the move is in response to the SCG trust not being truthful about a possible fire risk at Allianz stadium. Mr Jones, who is the longest serving member of the SCG trust, denies claims Allianz stadium violates building codes. Mr Daley has told Sky News the decision to sack the board wasn't a 'partisan attack' and says that he wanted to do Mr Jones the 'courtesy' of telling him directly what he thought about the board's performance.
