Alan Jones: ‘Abhorrence’ should greet child sex offenders, but should also greet innocent people in jail | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Alan Jones says ‘repugnance and abhorrence’ should be directed towards anyone found guilty of child sexual abuse, but ‘we should also greet with abhorrence the prospect of anyone being in jail who is innocent’. \n \nMr Jones says the way in which the unanimous decision of the jury convicted Cardinal George Pell guilty ‘is a mystery’ and cannot be revealed.\n \nHowever, Mr Jones says in an ‘age of transparency it is archaic and unsettling’ not to know the reasons for ‘such a momentous decision’.\n \nIn December, Cardinal Pell was found guilty on five counts of historical child sexual abuse against two choirboys, and was taken into custody last week after his bail was revoked at a pre-sentencing hearing. \n\nThe verdict was only recently revealed to the public after a suppression order was lifted. \n \nThe 77-year-old has lodged an appeal against his conviction and continues to strenuously deny all allegations against him. Umm, he's been found guilty..... Alan Jones supports George Pell. No surprise there. I published this article in 2015: 2GB’s Alan Jones sent love letters to a school boy.
