The Bulldogs have reportedly joined the race for the signature of Ben Hunt, who's in a contract grapple with the Dragons.
While the Bulldogs have attracted plenty of star talent in recent times, the Belmore club is still without a quality halfbackThe Bulldogs are eyeing Hunt and young Dragons teammate Jayden Sullivan in their pursuit of a new halfback, according to The Sydney Morning Herald. If Hunt, who's contracted to the Dragons until the end of 2023, re-signs with St George Illawarra, Sullivan will have his rise to the NRL hindered and is likely to request an immediate release. The 20-year-old is contracted to the Dragons until the end of 2025.
But if the Dragons don't satisfy Hunt's significant financial request, the 32-year-old could divert to the Bulldogs.One potential hurdle in the mooted Hunt-Bulldogs partnership is Hunt's strong bond with Dragons coach Anthony Griffin.
