Ellie Smith and her partner Jake Gliddon told Channel Seven's Flashpoint program they are adamant the little girl was taken from the Blowholes campsite during the early hours of Saturday October 16.
“She has been taken from our family, from somewhere she’s meant to feel safe and she’s been taken,” Ms Smith said.Ellie Smith broke down in tears during an interview about her missing daughter Cleo Ms Smith, who wore a black t-shirt and spoke through her tears, said the morning she realised Cleo was missing was “heartbreaking” and “heart wrenching”.“I remember when the police were asking us to go through everything, I just remember thinking ‘how did someone come into that tent and take Cleo?’“How could someone take a child? My gut just felt sick.
“I put her to bed, I tucked her in. I made sure her sleeping bag was completely tucked under her mattress. I made sure she was warm,” Ms Smith said. The devastated mother was then asked what her last words to Cleo were.Cleo was last seen sleeping in a red and black sleeping bag and was wearing a pink/purple one-piece sleep-suit with a blue and yellow pattern.
How often did they go camping there?
This is the 'baby stole my dingo' all over again. I think the parents did something shady and are riding it off as a kidnapping, which apparently occurred in the middle of nowhere. This story smells off.
