Vigil to be held for missing WA girl Cleo Smith

coastal town will gather tonight at a vigil for missing four-year-old local girl Cleo Smith.

Cleo was reported missing at 1.30am last Saturday during a camping trip with her family at Blowholes Campground in Carnarvon, about 900km north of Perth.The WA government is offering a reward of up to $1 million for information that leads to the location of four-year-old Western Australian girl Cleo Smith.

"There will be a message book for Cleo and her family, this is an opportunity to leave a message of love and support if you feel led," a message on The Church of Christ Carnarvon's Facebook page read.Forensic police have shifted their attention towards Cleo's family home.Police say the focus is not on the family, rather they are looking at the possibility of someone stalking Cleo in the days before she vanished.

Detectives are now casting their net wide, appealing for dashcam and security footage within a 1000-kilometre radius of the Blowholes campsite. Police are specifically looking for video taken between 6pm last Friday and 6pm on Sunday, with a particular interest in motels, service stations, children's clothing stores, pharmacies and camping stores.have contacted countless businesses for CCTV and a WA Police community announcement is dominating radio airwaves. There is also now a $1 million reward for information leading to Cleo's recovery.

Also the fact that her sleeping bag is missing. What child would carry a sleeping bag with her. This investigation was handled badly from the start!

Forensics officers gathering evidence at Cleo Smith's homeA week after four-year-old Cleo Smith disappeared, a forensics squad is gathering evidence at the family's Carnarvon home. The ABC understands police are investigating the possibility of a break-in, but there is no suggestion that Cleo's family were involved in her disappearance. I wonder if the first investigators had the presence of mind to take DNA swabs from the sipper of the tent? That would make a clearer picture of the scene and be vital for later investigations.
