Hong Kong protesters could reach 1M amid passing of National Security laws | Sky News AustraliaThe Wall Street Journal’s China Bureau Chief Jonathan Cheng says there could be more than one million protesters on the streets of Hong Kong on the anniversary of 1997 Hong Kong transfer.\n\nMainland China has officially passed the new national security laws which will be imposed on Hong Kong which cover the issues of secession, subversion, and terrorism.\n\n Mr Cheng said the general content of the bill is widely understood but there is growing confusion about the specific details.\n\nHe said the annual July 1 protests in Hong Kong in 2019 were one of the reasons these new laws have been legislated, and while the official Hong Kong ceremony will occur to celebrate the official handover, there will be thousands if not more than a million protesting.\n\n“There is big motivation on the part of many of these people who don’t like the national security bill to get on the street tomorrow”.\n\nHowever, Mr Cheng told Sky News host Peter Gleeson the bill was passed “precisely to stifle that sort of behaviour and punish that sort of behaviour”. \n\nImage: AP JChengWSJ Meanwhile Fox News won't speak out against the degradation of democracy by their man Trump.

Australia joins dozens of Western countries urging China to scrap Hong Kong security lawBritain and some two dozen Western countries including Australia have urged China to reconsider its new national security law for Hong Kong, saying Beijing must preserve the right to assembly and free press in the former British colony. Us Blackfellas are Western like the foreign Western migrants and their descendants still here like PM ScoMo? Don't speak for us ! In the 1930s, the world had a chance to stop Hitler but they watched things wind up from afar until it was too late. Getting the same vibe here. Now's the time for the rest of the world to stand up. China is as powerful as it is because the rest of the world allow them to be. Do you really believe China, with all its arrogance, is going to listen? We need to get real. Take back all the assets that were mistakenly sold to Chinese nationals, freeze financial accounts, and the country’s involved to reduce trade to become less dependent. Watch China then
