NSW have rolled out the sky-blue welcome mat for Joseph Suaalii to enter camp and mimic the man he knocked out in Origin I – Reece Walsh.
Despite being nearly 20cm taller than fullback Walsh, Suaali is just as fast and graceful when making sweeping runs out the back, giving the Blues a vital snapshot of what to expect again at the MCG on Wednesday night. “Because of the circumstances and he had time off , I said to ‘Robbo’ , ‘I want to bring him up and support him’. At the end of the day, he’s potentially available for the third Origin. I wanted him in the opposition because he also helped the other boys lift.”Suaalii is keen to get one last chance to create a better Origin memory before he departs for rugby union at the end of the season.
