He was

Really

Good on them!Hallelujah!

Get over it. It's history.

So now they are rewriting history. Actually Cook was famous for wanting to get along with indigenous peoples, he’d meet up with them personally, a very unpopular view at the time. It got him killed in Hawaii if reports are accurate. Can people please do the research

This is coming from a culture that have one of the highest domestic violence problems with women and kids being bashed by drunken husbands or boyfriends at an alarming rate.

What next!

That’s holding a grudge for far too long.

Said a bunch of head hunters

Pot and kettle come to mind

Just a tad over the top

Says the people that are well known for eating the original inhabitants they killed off!

Irony fail.

Let's just ban learning about history, sack all the history teachers and archaeologists, let's just look towards the future and learn nothing from the past, history is so yesterday.

He was never a captain. On the Endeavor he was a lieutenant. In 1771 he was promoted to commander and then Post Captain. I don't believe he was ever actually Captain.

Maori people acted just as barbarically, as did the aboriginals. It continues to this day everywhere Yawn

*sigh*

Barbarians vs Savages

So was genghis kahn, lets do a side by side comparo for best barbarian of all time!

Well they’re right.

Ummmm.....history... move on squeezers.

Boo hoo!! History!!

in all them years the English and the newzealanders have not changed

God bless the Maori leaders 🌹 I pray the ‘white’ Australia realises this too

WWJD? What would Jake Do?

This from people who ate other people - okay; but remember what Grandma said 'when you point a finger there are three pointing back at you

Yeah but they still have their hands out for the whitemans dole.

Rubbish.

Cannibalism

Utter irony that Maori who once engaged in cannibalism & warfare is calling Captain Cook a 'Barbarian'. Taranaki Maori took British ships to Chatham Islands later bringing the Moriori to near extinction as the Maori killed them, ate them & forced remaining Moriori into marriage.

Cook held indigenous ppls in high regard, he made a habit of meeting them personally, when he couldve sent subordinates, and he tried to work with them. It later got him killed in Hawaii.

No doubt he brought diseases to their country too. That alone is enough to hate him.

Anti-whites win again

so.. ritualistic cannibalism isn't 'barbaric' though. I bet they all still celebrate the Maori culture, their warriors who died, who conquered etc.. but no one else can because they were 'too' successful?

Wow. Toxic masculinity in a nutshell. Report him to police........LOL. School boy stuff. Andrews has the power to get rid of him but won't. If Rex Patrick, Jacqui Lambie and all other pearl clutching politicans vote for the anti union legislation, then I will join Setka in campaigning for their defeat. They can refer us all to the AFP.
