Analysis: The day of reckoning for the Morrison government is rapidly approaching, writes Shane Wright | swrighteconomy

mean the reckoning will be reached when Treasurer Josh Frydenberg releases the mid-year budget update next month.

Evel Knievel jumps over 10 Mack trucks, but could he clear the gulf between economic rhetoric and reality? It was only in May, safely after the election, that RBA governor Philip Lowe said Australia should be doing better when it came to unemployment. The rate cuts that came in June, July and October, which have taken the official cost of money in this country to an all-time low of 0.75 per cent, were done in a bid to drive the unemployment rate down to at least 4.5 per cent if not lower.

Such a low unemployment rate, in theory, would tighten the jobs market to so much wages growth would pick-up. The government reassured all that its tax cuts, which started from July 1, would "lift household incomes, ease cost of living pressures and boost spending at local businesses". A 10-year, $100 billion infrastructure spend that will have us driving four-lane boulevards to multi-storey carparks adjacent to every suburban railway station would ensure a surge in workers.at the expense of affordability.

swrighteconomy With this bad employment news get ready even this weekend for softer house auction sales even though they are bogus anyway. Sucker's bought the propaganda housing recovery hahahahaha

swrighteconomy The govt has one priority - surplus or bust

swrighteconomy When was the last time a central bank told you a recession is on the way? Their objective is to spread as much bs as possible, keep the confidence up and pretend they have control. Well, the charade is over. Australians have just called “bullsh**”.

swrighteconomy I can report that caravan parks and motels on the mid north coast are doing a roaring trade thanks to evacuees from the climate change-enhanced bushfires so that’s some upside for gov’s statistics

swrighteconomy That election spanking though, they’re still stinging over it 😁

The 2020s are set to be an economic turning point, says global banking giantThe next decade is likely to see higher prices and interest rates and a reversal of globalisation, but also a reduction in inequality and increased climate action, predicts one of the world's biggest banks. The global economy is underpinned by growth. That’s how a pyramid selling scheme works. At some point it is set to fail and I think we are now seeing the start of the collapse. Communism kills more Always look for the ABC's photo choice & it will tell you lots about the ABC.

Liana Buchanan's job is to protect Victoria's kids. But a hole in the system that led to 35 deaths makes her 'profoundly angry'They went to school with rotten food and covered in lice, they came home to watch men beat their mothers, but dozens of children who eventually took their own lives were deemed not at enough risk for intervention. The $billion sector response is entirely predictable: 'this is a huge problem needing a machinery of government change'. Govt then goes away and we wait till the next report of this nature when the sector that covers up & denies these failures repeats their time honoured response

Meet the 'brave, wise' children failed by the system supposed to save themBy age 12, Jane had seen her mother try to kill herself. By 13, Jack had seen his father choke a woman for so long she blacked out. Both children attempted suicide. Children shouldn’t have to be brave or wise... They should be learning, having fun and feeling safe and secure... No one listened to those advocating for their rights. Now we'll cover our bad image with some PR giving these kids some platitudes. Talk about insult to injury.

Booo What is wrong with these people? Nothing unlawful about having a sexual relationship with the adult who cleaned your car the previous week, even if they did charge a lot for that service.
