I don’t think it’s the Fed jurisdiction, but sacking every local councils environmental department’s greenie staff would be a start. Former fire chiefs should know the only thing we can do is reduce fuel by controlled burns. Start looking at their biodiversity strategies 😡😡😡

The Commonwealth, State & Local governments should be allocating more resources on an ongoing basis for bushfire prevention and emergency services regardless. Especially since 80% of those doing the actual firefighting are volunteers.

Since when is it the PM or Feds problem? It is the States that have to prepare for bush fires and if they need further assistance they approach the Federal Government.
