The Institute of Public Affairs’ GideonCRozner says police fining Melbournians $5000 on the spot for driving into regional areas will “smash the communities faith in the police for a generation”.

The Institute of Public Affairs’ Gideon Rozner says police fining Melbournians $5000 on the spot for driving into regional areas will “smash the communities faith in the police for a generation”.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews on Thursday warned Victoria Police were prepared to administer a $5000 on the spot fine for those caught travelling from metropolitan Melbourne into regional areas. Mr Rozner added the premier was proposing to put a bill to parliament which would allow him “to detain people, without trial, for being high risk spreaders, including conspiracy theorists and anti-lockdown protesters”.

GideonCRozner It’s already smashed

GideonCRozner There has been a sistemic violent and illegal procedural problem within the entire Vic police for many years now and a total overhaul of the police culture and personnel in Victoria is required, non negotiable.

GideonCRozner No matter what everyone says, he’s DanielAndrewsMP been trying to do impossible that no one wants to or could do it!! I haven’t seen ANY PLAN from the people who criticise him He SAVED people life, he always put people life at 1st priority IStandWithDanAndrews IStandWithDan

GideonCRozner Lost me at

GideonCRozner How about - It will smash the communities faith in other Victorians.

GideonCRozner Oh my god, that fine is serious enough to stop Gideon driving to the holiday house in Lorne

GideonCRozner Sorry...it actually smashes my faith in Victorians for a generation!!! It ain’t the police not giving a crap.

GideonCRozner IPA are corporate thugs and are obsessed with destroying the state of Victoria.

GideonCRozner Just like Sky News has smashed former viewers faith in news channel...

GideonCRozner seems not one of you has googled or duckduckgo'ed what coronavirus is,CDC has already said only 6% of US death toll is accurate, only 10K of covid 19 deaths .Man,use the net for research, not porn

GideonCRozner Nope, as a regional Victorian they can stay where they are. Your blunt razor is more than wrong and regional voters will remember the behaviour of conservative MPs and the Newscorpse murdochracy

GideonCRozner HumanHeadline would love to know the thoughts of the JusticePartyAu on this topic. Will they vote in favor or against this motion. Detain people without trial 😂 surely this has to be a joke it’s 🇦🇺

GideonCRozner Ha Murdoch minions on there sop box again

GideonCRozner people living in regional areas just out of lockdown don't give a shit what IPA sook gideon rozner says

GideonCRozner anything referencing gideon IsNotJournalism it’s more signaling a career death of a LNP member. IStandWithDan

GideonCRozner Do we care what Gideon thinks? Nope.

Because when I think of great and noble contributions made during a global pandemic...I go straight to Gideon...FFS

GideonCRozner The fine should be 50,000 not 5,000

GideonCRozner COVIDIDIOTS

GideonCRozner Please put hands who thinks that will happen

GideonCRozner This will be the start of demanding a serious cull in the public service in all areas

GideonCRozner no one cares what the ipa has to say in Victoria .... 85% of us dont care about the ipa full stop so they should just stop[ wasting our time much like sky news is

GideonCRozner Must be true if it's on Sky. 😂

GideonCRozner How does keeping regional communities safe from Covid infected cities ppl “smash faith in police” Sky is just propaganda

GideonCRozner

GideonCRozner He’s smashing my faith in educational standards, that’s for sure. You guys should maybe employ someone who, you know, understands how the English language works?

GideonCRozner This is a tad overblown. Really?

GideonCRozner How about just follow the rules, simples.

GideonCRozner Not doing a good enough job. Listening to 3AW693 today Mornington Pen residents are up in arms at the number of city slickers heading down there.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

GideonCRozner The Institute of Public Affairs’ GideonCRozner really needs to quit this public masturnbation - its a bit, um, embarrassing.

GideonCRozner Gids wouldn’t go regional to get the eyebrows waxed would he?

GideonCRozner Don’t blame the Police for everything. Blame the Victorian government for implementing it

GideonCRozner Bull dust.

GideonCRozner There is no faith or trust now - he has deployed Nazi gestapo stormtroopers who have apparently been told to ‘SHOW NO MERCY TO US’. How much respect do you think we have for them now - ZERO DanielAndrewsMP VictoriaPolice _davidlimbrick ScottMorrisonMP Then this👇BLM ok 🤬

GideonCRozner I think their blatant use by the Government has already done that. I genuinely feel for them. They only do what they are told.

GideonCRozner That’s one view.

GideonCRozner City police are finally learning you can't steamroll people just because 'we will never see them again'.

GideonCRozner I think that has already been done.

GideonCRozner Omg they can’t even keep a straight face while talking this childish rubbish. My grandchild done a better job at her school play . I don’t think Hollywood will be knocking on their door .

GideonCRozner I think saying for a generation is a bit strong, but I definitely think over the last few weeks some harm has been done to community sentiment towards police.

GideonCRozner

GideonCRozner soringst the IPA says every police officer in Victoria is a person to be feared.

GideonCRozner 'Gulag'? That's ridiculous projection. To what end? He's been clear about the roadmap out. Personally, I think the co-ordinated smear campaign by Murdoch and the LNP is far more Authoritarian than anything Dan has done.

GideonCRozner FFS, whats the point of quarantining if your going to let people from a hot zone potentially re infect the regions ?

GideonCRozner Don't fucking do it then !

GideonCRozner No we are not okay? Its 6 month already, we are not a criminal why govt is treating us as a criminal,we do care for our safety and we will not bring the virus with us in our pocket. LET US COME BACK HOME...International students

GideonCRozner No dickheads. He knows it’s the only way to stop morons like MurdochSky staff from unhinging the processes that are brining COVID back under control in Victoria.

GideonCRozner Could always observe quarantine laws. After all, we live in a society.

GideonCRozner Hog washTypical Sky News.We in NW Tassy couldn't go out our front gate for 5 weeks. The Police & the Army patrolled our streets. If any were caught walking or driving,it was $1,000 on the spot fine.We all obeyed the rules. We are now virus free. The Ruby Princess killed our people

GideonCRozner Deport Dan, and his COVID Plan to Wuhan 🦠🦠🦠🤠🖕

Jonatho43827873 GideonCRozner Too late.

GideonCRozner

GideonCRozner What the hell is this garbage? 🗑

GideonCRozner If only the IPA had any credibility. 🤣🤣🤣

GideonCRozner Too late...... trust is already gone

GideonCRozner Or they could follow the rules like 90% of us and they won’t get fined.

GideonCRozner Comum sense is something that the Vic governor doesn’t have

GideonCRozner No it won’t, we have reliable sources telling us regional Victoria has asked us in melburbia to stay away until safe to come down. And this 👇🏻

GideonCRozner It will not, who is making this up

GideonCRozner Too late...

GideonCRozner one day riot squad avenger style uniforms with shields, automatic weapons, next day light showers hiding in tents, ring of steel actually ring of dental floss.

GideonCRozner I’m a big supporter of the boys and girls in blue - but this reputational damage is huge

GideonCRozner

GideonCRozner Doubt it. Also, you spelt “community’s” wrong. It’s possessive. Thus the ‘s. Not like language is your job or anything.

GideonCRozner Too late. VictoriaPolice have already completely fucked their reputation, which to be fair was pretty shit to begin with.

GideonCRozner This is a very worrying development if true.

GideonCRozner A generation?🤣 Only rule-breakers get the fine.

GideonCRozner He’s right

‘The strategy is working’: Daniel Andrews highlights record low COVID-19 cases | Sky News AustraliaPremier Daniel Andrews has spruiked his roadmap to recovery and urged Victorians to “stay the course” as case numbers continue to fall across the state. \n\nVictoria recorded its lowest daily increase in cases since June 24 with only 28 overnight infections and eight deaths.\n\n“That is a fantastic outcome and a tribute to the hard work, sacrifice and contribution every single Victorian is making,” the premier said.\n\n“This strategy is working, these numbers are falling and this is exactly what we have to do; stay the course, get these numbers low that is what will keep them low.”\n\nMr Andrews spoke about the health disadvantages of reopening the state prematurely, saying “if we open up when they (cases) are too high, they will just get higher and higher”.\n\n'The message is, regardless of your post, background or circumstances, this virus does not discriminate, and everybody has to play their part”.\n\nHe warned $5,000 on the spot fines would be issued by police to those attempting to move from metropolitan Melbourne to regional areas and additional spot car checks would be introduced. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia Strategy is working? No shit Sherlock. When you shut down an entire city for months on end, a virus will probably stop spreading. If this strategy didn’t work what was next? Welding the doors of people’s homes shut like they did in Wuhan? Moron. The God can play God because Victorians allow him to. Has this loser ever had a “real” job in his entire life?
