The turbulent nature of pandemic-era American politics is bound to have Democrats apprehensive about Joe Biden contracting COVID-19 and not doing “as robustly as Donald Trump,” according to Bob Carr.
The former NSW premier told Sky News, although Donald Trump is a “native genius at politics,” the opinion polls have a distinct unanimity towards Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. “The inherently turbulent nature of American politics in the middle of this pandemic would have Democrats apprehensive about the prospect that their candidate could be felled by COVID-19,” Mr Carr said. “And not do as robustly as Donald Trump seems to have done in bouncing back from it.
