Sky News host Peter Gleeson says that not only do the Extinction Rebellion cause “havoc”, their decision to clog city streets could spell danger for ambulances. “These guys have been wreaking havoc in Queensland for the past few months,” Mr Gleeson told the Credlin program.

“They are dangerous - to clog up capital cities it affects not only commerce but it can affect ambulances and the way they operate.” Mr Gleeson described an incident in Brisbane where he said there “was a delay of picking [the patient] up in a critical situation”. Extinction Rebellion have warned that their protests will continue throughout the week and only get bigger as time goes on.
