You will know you are getting JobKeeper if you suddenly find a payment for JobKeeper from your previous employer. Do you at ABC News know if it will be paid similar to the payment of ppl?

I read but I'm still confused. How much are people eligible for if they're fired? What can their SAH partners receive? When will it be paid? Do you have to live off your savings or redundancy payment before you are paid jobseeker?

How about mentioning 30% loss in a business turnover before employees are eligible?

Not sure why 1 year criteria is fixed (March 1) when the subsidy is expected to go on for 6 months. I have been employed for 10 months as Casual had a full time job before that. Never had break in my employment.

'By late Tuesday more than 270,000 businesses had registered their interest.' Is there anywhere we can see if our workplaces have registered?

All good but I can’t see how a company 30-50% down in turnover, worse in profit margin, can exist even with wage subsidies in a competitive industry.

Any info on a 16 year old who works one day a week but is a full time school student who lives at home ie a dependent? Casual but worked longer than 12 months.

Jobkeeper payment well intentioned but watch this get rorted to the max

I'm confused how you've avoided jail.

More than 60,000 businesses register in govt's $130bn JobKeeper scheme | Sky News AustraliaTreasurer Josh Frydenberg says more than 60,000 businesses have already registered their interest in the government’s $130 billion JobKeeper scheme and expects thousands more to register yet. \n\nWithin an hour of the announcement, 8000 businesses signed up for the Job Keeper allowance which will see them paid $1500 a fortnight for each worker they keep on the books for the next six months. \n\n“Businesses will need this subsidy to keep their employees and I think it will save thousands of businesses and millions of employees,” Mr Frydenberg said. \n\nSpeaking to Sky News on Tuesday, the Treasurer said Australia was “fighting a war on two fronts, a health crisis and an economic crisis simultaneously”. \n\nWhen asked how long he expected it would take the government to pay off the $130 billion scheme, Mr Frydenberg admitted “it will take years and years” but said “we have to do what is needed at this time and that’s to support the economy”. \n\nThe Treasurer said the government would make further announcements “about various initiatives in due course” but said “they won’t top what was announced yesterday”. \n\n“That was the most significant announcement that you will see from a government for years to come,” he said. \n\n JoshFrydenberg Classic problem, reaction solution. Create total hysteria and fear around an invisible boogeyman. Shut down entire economies as a result of this manufactured crisis. Drive people straight into the arms of gov't, where they will willingly hand over ALL freedom and civil liberty. JoshFrydenberg JoshFrydenberg

Nearly one million casuals left out of JobKeeper wage subsidyThe government’s move to introduce a $1,500-a-fortnight wage subsidy has been widely applauded, but casual workers who have worked for less than 12 months have been left out. That was the plan. Also sub contractors? Will they miss out too? More if you don't casuals about to be laid off by large local councils, who will not be eligible for jobkeeper payments due to those organisations earning too much... Possibly state and federal casual employees as well...?
