Greens Leader AdamBandt says “coal for electricity is an industry that is on its way out”.

Greens Leader Adam Bandt says “coal for electricity is an industry that is on its way out”. Mr Bandt told Sky News “it’s time to tell the truth to coal workers” because too often “the others go in there basically tell lies to Queensland workers about this industry continuing for decades to come”.

“I think Queensland has a bright mining future, as we move to become a renewable energy superpower,” he said. “There are some real opportunities there for Queensland to step up and grow in a zero-carbon world. “We have to manage the transition in a way that looks after the workers and communities.” Image: News Corp Australia

AdamBandt Oh reallly adambandt. AEDT 13-feb -2020 Australia is generating 33395 MW of electricity Coal 57.89% Gas 15.87% Hydro 11.24% Wind 4.85% Solar 9.96% Battery storage 14 MW Fossil fuels are generating 73.76% of Australia’s electricity whilst wind and solar are producing 14.81%

AdamBandt Like the greens are on the way out :)

AdamBandt Lol

AdamBandt Hope they drop you down a mine shaft.

AdamBandt Well its bound to happen one day in the far future thats a given. But until then it’s the best we’ve got?

AdamBandt The medias new pinup boy has suddenly become an expert in everything! Opinionated socialist politicians are on the way out. Unless Bandt provides us with an affordable replacement coal is here to stay! auspol

AdamBandt How about giving us costings relative to your comments and providing both positives and negatives resulting from your actions. Policies plucked out of the air with no justification nor economic benefits provided are rubbish.

AdamBandt I don’t think this is recent news guys, it’s been reality for a while now

AdamBandt Is he personally dismantling it? If not, he speaks lies.

AdamBandt Bloody bunch of Hypocrites. They complain about coal, oil, etc.. but come to work in a car that runs on fuel, wear a polythene Business Coat that's a bi-product of oil, their home energy is run by fossil fuel, the water that they enjoy at home is pumped by electrical pumps, etc..

AdamBandt India cutting coal imports by 2024, China also cutting back imports, renewables with firming technology cheaper and faster to build, he's 100% right.

AdamBandt Except for China Japan India Turkey where it’s on the up and up. Interesting where the next wave of economic expansion will come from. It won’t be Denmark where they import 15% of their electricity from other countries and have the highest electricity prices in the planet.

AdamBandt I think it’s more likely the Greens are on the way out.

AdamBandt

AdamBandt Bandt is a gift that just keeps on giving.

AdamBandt So is he

AdamBandt

AdamBandt The only economic & environmental solution ....

AdamBandt Under Bandt ,electricity is on its way out ,back to the stone age bubble boy , what a loser

AdamBandt Are you on the way out too?

AdamBandt 2019 China now burns more coal than all other countries put together

AdamBandt Looks like the Bandt Wagon has a few Dodgey wheels 🙄

AdamBandt Hate or love Greens - don’t care, on this they are correct coal is on the way out. Do we get in front of the curve or follow

AdamBandt But Chris Kenny didn't say so, wtf?!!

AdamBandt Flog

AdamBandt

AdamBandt Tell that to the Chinese lol😂

AdamBandt Can someone ask him if he is using electricity at home & office? Using comcar?

AdamBandt Yes, it's on the way out! Only if we find a reliable non polluting source of energy to replace coal. Your dreaming! Wake up!

AdamBandt Santos agrees. Just reading it’s climate report.

AdamBandt He is right. India's government has announced it will not import coal after 2024. Who will buy Adani coal?

AdamBandt

AdamBandt Just common sense really.

AdamBandt Yeah out the ports to China etc whilst we suffer under renewables.

AdamBandt It'll be around a lot longer than Adum Bandit will. ClimateFraud

AdamBandt Asbestos was once miracle neo is death 💀, coal was miracle and soon will be dead. Government should think about future and start investing in renewable, creating more jobs on earth 🌍. Creating jobs in universe is for future generation, this generation needs jobs. We have 1 life

AdamBandt should have been gone back in the 80's

AdamBandt With Adam Bandt AdamBandt at the helm of the Greens they are on their way out

AdamBandt How dumb is this guy. Actually don't answer that, we know already. 🤪🤪🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

AdamBandt What Planet is this looney on, He should be locked ùp.

AdamBandt On what planet?

AdamBandt Stating the obvious

AdamBandt Adam Bandt & truth in the same sentence? I don't think so.

AdamBandt The political left are on their way out.... worldwide!

AdamBandt What a load of Bolshevik balderdash

AdamBandt I often lie awake at night wondering how many helicopters have tried to land on this knobs forehead when he is sunbaking 🚁

AdamBandt Go nuclear

AdamBandt I wish banshee Bandt was on his way out, not coal

AdamBandt I believe the Bandt is also on his way OUT long b4 COAL 😳🤔

AdamBandt not in our life time - we will need it for min of 20-40 years to come new tech does not grow on trees and get built in 7 days - 3 of our states can not even cover their own power needs on their own most days

AdamBandt Laughable. It is only on the way out because Bandt has that opinion and bias. This serial political irritant needs to be removed AdamBandt

AdamBandt Pull the plug. Make Victoria coal powered electricity free, see how they like that

AdamBandt 🤮🤮🤮

AdamBandt Ah No

AdamBandt 1 trillion dollars, for 1.6%

AdamBandt

AdamBandt Increasing demand for Electric Vehicles will reduce the demand for imported petroleum in Australia and boost demand for electricity produced by coal-fired power stations which produce free plant food as a by-product. A WIN-WIN situation.

AdamBandt Global demand for coal fell slightly after 2014, however, it is on the way back up.

AdamBandt Japan has just announced it will build 22 new coal-fired power stations to replace its nuclear reactors. These will all be powered by Australian Coal.

AdamBandt I don't think so. China on the cusp of a coal-fired power boom

AdamBandt Adam you need new researchers - you should sack the ones you have - This is a small sample from 'Global Energy Monitor' & doesn't include USA, USSR & Canada etc - Plenty of life left in coal - PS nearly 80% of Aussie power - right now at 6.33pm - is being provided by fossil fuels

AdamBandt 2,000-MW Indonesian coal-fired plant operational

AdamBandt Not controversial

AdamBandt Japan to Build 22 Coal-Burning Power Plants - 2020

AdamBandt Yeah... right... Idiot Liar

AdamBandt Why would anybody believe a Marxist like Adam Bandit. Green on the outside and red in the inside. A Marxist dressed up like a Greenie. Death to Marxism!

AdamBandt We love coal.. pure and cheap electricity.

AdamBandt This guy is blind and a lunatic.... totally incoherant and uneducated

AdamBandt I think the greens are on the way out

AdamBandt Who?

AdamBandt Who gives this Windbag oxygen.

AdamBandt Seems to me Greens are in the same boat.

AdamBandt Yes

AdamBandt We will still be using it long after you and your party are dead and buried.

AdamBandt Ok what do we use for baseload. Gas, Nuclear..... AdamBandt you keep saying no coal, but I don’t hear about the replacement.

AdamBandt 220 tonnes of coking coal is required to build 1 single wind turbine. Not to mention all the cobalt kids in the Congo have to dig up to make the batteries

AdamBandt The greens are on the way out....

AdamBandt Does zali do anything but read /txt on her phone.

AdamBandt GangGreens are on their way out All Australians vote must be to cut out the rotting Greens

AdamBandt Hopefully he’s “ on his way out “ next election !

AdamBandt

AdamBandt Haha..what an Ignorant Intellectually challenged fool...coal will be around for another 50 to 100 years with all the New Coal Fired Power Stations being Built...

AdamBandt Yeah, coal is destroying the natural environment man!!

AdamBandt How about AdamBandt leads by example and stops emitting all CO2 right away?

AdamBandt That's what he thought on the last election, Queenslanders had their say... ooppps 🤭🤭🤭 were ready for ya uncle Adam

AdamBandt

AdamBandt Coal provides 70% of Australian Energy. Any further closures of Coal Stations will risk blackouts.

AdamBandt Bwahahahaha, delusional moron!

AdamBandt Coal will be around longer than Bandt that’s for sure

AdamBandt Its true. The only place where demand for coal is increasing in in SE Asia, and even then, China is working to decrease reliance on imported coal as a matter of self-sufficiency and national security.

AdamBandt This is true. I mean it makes no sense to use a finite resource when there are renewable sources. Why is this framed as a negative? Why does it have any framing at all? ThisIsNotJournalism FakeNews MurdochRoyalCommission BoycottMurdoch

AdamBandt No other political party will work with Adam and the Greens.

AdamBandt He lives in dream world!!😩

AdamBandt I agree with adam, coal will be phased out over the next 200 years😜

AdamBandt Wind and solar provide less than 3% of global energy even after two decades of massive subsidies. And in the four years since the Paris Accord, global petroleum use is up over 4 million barrels per day.

AdamBandt

AdamBandt Bhahahahahahaha

And he is right

AdamBandt Honest question for everyone here, happy to be corrected or advised on, Why haven't we gone Nuclear? Surely the amount of waste is no where near close to what we're doing with Coal?

AdamBandt How will you power the country stupid ?

AdamBandt Adams brain is on its way out

AdamBandt He's not the only one.

AdamBandt The Greens live in this fantasy land where we can flick a switch. At least Bandt is acknowledging there needs to be a time period but they just don't seem to live in any kind of business or transition reality.

AdamBandt Investment has collapsed.

AdamBandt Yes CNN .

AdamBandt Where is your evidence Adam? Oh wait....

AdamBandt Hey fool, try telling that to all the countries like India, China who are planning on building 100s more coal plants,it's obvious you didn't learn much at university.

AdamBandt Seriously this guy has no idea. Zippo, Nil, Nadda, Zilch He keeps shouting from the roof with NO solution. Keep giving this guy airtime so we all know his socialist ideology is ludicrous. AlanJones PMOnAir 3AW693

AdamBandt The only thing on the way out is Adam Bandt. One of those bullies in life that just won't go away.

AdamBandt

AdamBandt

AdamBandt I wish Adam was on the way out and closing the door as he goes

AdamBandt Then why are all those countries buying our coal year after year. Idiot!!!

AdamBandt Yup, just ask your gigantic neighbor, China...

AdamBandt It would be better if Bandt was on his way out!

SenatorRennick Super should only be available as a pension, and should not be cashed in to pay debt. SenatorRennick You can't keep changing the goal posts with superannuation.
