The Tangara School for Girls is emerging as Sydney's latest COVID-19 hotspot, with health authorities yet to find the source of the outbreak.
NSW recorded 22 new cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Monday night. Health Minister Brad Hazzard said nine were Tangara students or their close contacts, with more expected to test positive in the coming days. Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she expected the Tangara cluster would grow, knowing people who live in the same households as positive cases were "extremely susceptible" to catching the virus.
Ms Berejiklian said non-government schools should not be conducting out-of-school activities as they may have if we were not in a pandemic.
