Burgess facing sanction over 'offensive' judiciary criticism | proshenks

Sam Burgess is facing a fine after an extraordinary attack on the NRL judiciary in which he described it as a “kangaroo court”.. The governing body has advised Burgess he must now show cause why he should not be issued with a breach notice his statements.In an interview on Tuesday, Burgess said it was time to “ask the game a couple of questions” about a match review and judiciary system he feels isn’t properly working.

“Our chair is an esteemed Judge of the highest calibre and our panel members are former high-profile players who are independent from clubs. The integrity of the system and the people in it should never be questioned.”
