Bunnings stores in metropolitan Melbourne will move to a click and deliver or contactless drive and collect basis after a state of disaster was declared in Victoria. 9News

Mr Andrews said the changes to retail are "critically important" for the state's fight against coronavirus.

Bunnings Managing Director Mike Schneider said the hardware giant's focus "is on the safety of our team members and customers". "We are grateful that we have a way of supporting the community and small businesses during this time and we support the government in this common-sense approach," he said in a statement."They depend on us to keep their businesses running and to help support their local communities with emergency repairs and maintenance and we're pleased that we can continue to support them.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews today unveiled wide-scale Stage 4 COVID-19 measures after the state reported 429 new virus cases and 13 deaths."Either through Click & Deliver or Drive & Collect, where products can be ordered online and collected from Bunnings' car parks, without customers needing to get out of their car," he said.
