The ABC twist mere budget saving measures to convince the public Australia’s democracy, bushfire safety, and “very way of life are under threat,” says Sky News host Chris Kenny.

The public broadcaster last week announced 250 jobs will be cut, while under-performing content including the 7:45 AM news bulletin will also come under the axe. While the total government funding given to the ABC is increasing year-on-year, its operational funding has been frozen at 2018 levels, costing the public broadcaster $84 million.

“It gives you a clue as to how objective they are doesn't it, if they can be so distorted and misleading on something so obvious, how can you trust them on anything,” Mr Kenny said. While the ABC keeps arguing it is not biased towards the green Left, it is unsurprisingly the Greens who are “fighting hardest” to deliver more funding to the ABC. Labor has also joined the charge in the lead up to the Eden-Monaro by-election.

AStrongerOZ Imagine my shock... FakeNewsABC DefundTheABC

Chris, are you really still so bitter about this? The Chaser left the ABC ages ago ...

Oh I see what's got Kenny hot. Must have seen a poll on what swing voters would do if the IPA/Murdoch/Libs cut the ABC in favor of a murdoch media take over. Vote Libs out 🤣 Labor leader Anthony Albanese promises to restore funding cut from ABC

'ABC keeps arguing it is not biased towards the green Left, it is unsurprisingly the Greens who are “fighting hardest” to deliver more funding to the ABC.' 1. SkyNews has a bias problem - not the ABC. 2. The Nats SHOULD be fighting hardest after Murdoch left the regoins bare.

The problem with the ABC is their substantial popularity and perception of trust. Something that seems to be lacking in Chris. Bit puzzled by his obsession with the ABC probably just jealous.
