Premier Alan Winde has called for an investigation into the Claremont bar and club where a recent “super-spreader event” saw 63 people contracting Covid_19 , the majority of them in matric. CapeTimesSA

“Our teams have contacted all of the schools and are ensuring that the necessary protocols are being followed,” Winde said.

“It is indicative of some establishments not following the health and safety guidelines, as well as the legal regulations which have been put in place to stop the spread,” he said. “The Department of Health has confirmed that 13 learners that attend Rondebosch HS have tested positive for Covid-19,” said department spokesperson Bronagh Hammond.
