Toronto FC Set New Club Record With Mailula's Help

Former Mamelodi Sundowns forward Cassius Mailula helped his side set a new club record in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Sundowns' ex-attacker started for the Canada -based team and scored in the 50th minute, but it was 21-year-old striker Deandre Kerr who stole the show.

The young forward netted four times, becoming the first player to net four goals in a single game in the club's history. According to an X account related to Toronto FC, it was also the first time the Reds have scored eight goals in a competitive match. More team records tumbled as Toronto became the first club to net on eight occasions in a Canadian Championship game.
