Scores of Cape Town residents showed up in their numbers in Hatfield street outside the Jewish museum to show their support for Palestine.On Friday, the Department of International Relations and Cooperation's announced two South Africans had died because of the conflict in the Middle East. Palestinian Ambassador to South African Hanan Jarrar said Israel was putting the lives of Palestinians in danger with"ethnic cleansing".

She added as long as the Palestinian people were denied their rights and treated as less than human, there would be no lasting peace in the region.
The US has been Israel's strongest backer, along with other allies, believing the country had the right to retaliate for the deaths of hundreds of its citizens.Jarrar said Israel was putting Palestinians' lives in danger with each passing day. "There is no electricity, and there is no medication. People in Gaza have no space to bury their people. It is a human catastrophe," she added.
"In testing times, Palestine is one, and the message is one. We are in one boat against Israeli aggression.
