About 737 million N95 masks are in America's Strategic National Stockpile, the assistant secretary for the Preparedness and Response division of the HHS said.

"While all masks and respirators provide some level of protection, properly fitted respirators provide the highest level of protection," according to new guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and PreventionDawn O'Connell, assistant secretary of the American Department of Health and Human Services' Preparedness and Response division, said there were 737 million N95 masks in the Strategic National Stockpile, according to the Politico report.
