In his first 15 months in charge, Ramaphosa has tried to tackle entrenched corruption and improve governance at struggling state-owned firms like power utility Eskom. SAElections2019

"We've made mistakes, but we are sorry about those mistakes, and we are saying our people should reinvest their confidence in us," Ramaphosa said on Wednesday after casting his ballot in the Soweto township where he grew up.

During Zuma's nine years as president, support for the ANC dropped as economic growth faltered and the party's reputation was tarnished by corruption scandals."Ramaphosa was a game-changer for the ANC in this campaign. Voters trust that he can do things right," said ANC executive member Fikile Mbalula.

Op-Ed: For South Africa to succeed, we need to support Cyril RamaphosaReading the voluminous commentary that has preceded the 8 May 2019 election, one would be forgiven for thinking that we live in a failed state. We do not, and we never will — as long as we fight hard enough. Voting for MyANC will keep criminals in power who should be in jail but they will be protected to continue stealing the next 5 years & sinking SA. Brace for the crash, we are in the end game now. You're not even hiding your support for ThumaMina in the last 48 hours....

Only the politicians nest of vipers will score from this deal. Any future revenue will go to their pension fund holdings offshore!! More graft being set up crimemind3 The naive assumption being that the risk-adjusted return on an investment in a complex project in a normally war-ravaged country is above than the cost of the US dollar debt used to invest in it. The cluelessness of the cANCer is truly staggering.
