Ramaphosa's inauguration to cost R100m less than Zuma's in 2014 | AlexMitchley

During a media briefing on the readiness for the presidential inauguration in Tshwane on Thursday, Minister in the Presidency Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma said the budget cut had to do with the current economic climate in South Africa.

While not revealing the exact allocated budget, Dlamini-Zuma said that they wouldn't be spending more than R120m, and that the 2014 inauguration of Zuma had cost around R240m. Dlamini-Zuma added that the change of venue would also allow for a more inclusive programme, where everyone could witness the ceremony at the same time. The Inter-Ministerial Committee on the presidential inauguration also announced that only SADC heads of state, representatives from different regional economic blocs and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi - who is also the chairperson of the African Union - had been invited to the ceremony.

AlexMitchley It shouldn't be costing anything in the first place, he should just go to CJ Mogoeng's office and get it done there.

AlexMitchley So? The way yawl hate PresJGZuma you have to include him in everything. Just leave the man in peace and focus on Cereal

AlexMitchley What a waste of money we all know he's the president he must just continue. He can be inaugurated in parliament just like the rest of the MPs.

AlexMitchley Form a WhatsApp group with Goldman Sachs and announce him as president there. Leave President Zuma out of this facade

AlexMitchley I still don't like him

AlexMitchley And wt?

AlexMitchley Are you guys bored?

AlexMitchley Different smell, different (BULL) SHITTER, but same KAKA CyrilRamaphosa

AlexMitchley They just had to drag Zuma's name into it..

AlexMitchley But how much will it cost?

AlexMitchley So Must we dance and ululate Is that R100m going to land in black people’s pockets?

AlexMitchley why not cost R5 million?

AlexMitchley Cabinet reduction too

AlexMitchley R150mil can build how many houses 🤔 but we wanna have a party 🤦‍♂️

AlexMitchley Why include zuma

AlexMitchley Municipalities r under administratn, township taps hav run dry, schools still have pit latrines in 2019 some schools don’t have text books & CyrilRamaphosa PresidencyZA want 2 spend a gross amt of money on this insignificnt gesture. We know who the president is. Get on with it

AlexMitchley He shud have done like zither Oredidrnt of Tanzania who opted for a low key inauguration considering the state of SA economy. Hayi mara this guys have no heart shem...all talk and no action😴😭

AlexMitchley What a waste of MONEY for colonial pomp and prestige!!!!!

amgmahlaba AlexMitchley Will that improve the issue of unemployment taht we are currently worried about as the youth? Why doesn't the president elect channel the money to something else that will be beneficial to the masses if he is such a noble man. Anime. 🛑

AlexMitchley Y ths kind of money mara

AlexMitchley What did Zuma's inaugaration cost ?

AlexMitchley CyrilRamaphosa seriously Mr President? The number of houses you can build with that money! Home your people, this is wasteful

AlexMitchley Why noteven spend that R100 m

AlexMitchley Why having to compare cluld have said ' its will be lower, spendings will be lesser..'

AlexMitchley Ungenaphi wena?

AlexMitchley Give us a detailed proof of your comparisons, otherwise niyadakwa

AlexMitchley Its still a waste and a very Bad example in a country where many people literally starve. ANC continue to dissapoint.

AlexMitchley You had to mention Zuma, the greatest, otherwise this story would be insignificant

AlexMitchley Zinja

AlexMitchley UZuma ungenaphi

AlexMitchley We want the land not this

MweliNtobeko AlexMitchley Why not bypass this whole thing and get straight to work, time is off essence! What will change if we don't have this fancy party ? Can't be having 120m party with 27.6% unemployment

MweliNtobeko AlexMitchley He is a billionaire, why don't he use some of that to throw this fancy party ? Cos that's all it is , a fancy party at some fancy digs while we sitting here with less than R50 in our accounts 🙄

AlexMitchley But it is still going to cost R120ml?! But because it is lower, it is OK🤷🏽‍♀️

AlexMitchley Well done, that's leadership

AlexMitchley VxWhy everything has to be about Zuma,is he the only brand that can keep your business in making money or Zuma has set the bar so high that achieving anything close to his success is great achievement

AlexMitchley Leave Zuma alone, whites media

AlexMitchley Why inauguration? Just announce it on radio finish. We want our land back now!

AlexMitchley u like ramaphosa 2mch

AlexMitchley Less votes less celebration less MPs

AlexMitchley Ok

AlexMitchley It's so weird,,, hunger x thirst=famine. I stan

AlexMitchley We are in dire situation now with Eskom but here we are splashing such amount,,, petrol is going up next month. Then when pipo riot fr service delivery they are wrong whilst such amount is being splashed fr only few hrs.

AlexMitchley Zuma is zuma ramaposa is ramaposa WHY are you comparing this two people , even though 1m is too much

AlexMitchley Great news

AlexMitchley Can someone please publish the costing for this inauguration.

AlexMitchley Yet it is 100 million that can be used else where. Build some houses or a school and start your legacy CyrilRamaphosa

AlexMitchley 100m still a lot.

AlexMitchley Do they want us to be thankful that we are being stabbed instead of shot? Imagine the services that could be bought with R100,000.00🤯

AlexMitchley Pathetic. What is wrong with these people to think pomp and ceremony make them relevant The next day they are still the same thieving, corrupt, useless people.

AlexMitchley Julius Malema accused the “capitalist establishment, including international media,” of trying to “force” President Cyril Ramaphosa on the people of South Africa.

AlexMitchley Good deal

AlexMitchley Bosasa gets the contract, yes.

a teacher to his class: 'give the difference between an asset and a liability.'

AlexMitchley CyrilRamaphosa ANCParliament MYANC really?!?! You still wasting money and we out here battling with fuel price hikes, electricity prices, crime, housing etc..... a true leader will put the money to good use, for his country.

AlexMitchley It’s R1 too much anyway. He can be inaugurated at parliament and get on with work while saving much needed cash.

AlexMitchley It’s our money that’s paying for the party. Do we get a seat at the table?

AlexMitchley And fuel going up next month...

AlexMitchley As long as it cost money, it's rediculous

AlexMitchley Swaboha mara 🤦🏽‍♂️

AlexMitchley Really in our current state, you couldn't use common sense and say hang on we don't have money for this. No, this had to happen, nothing more than 'putting your pet on show' - a term used when playing board games and you have nothing better to do.

AlexMitchley Makes no difference if we do not know from what amount this is, is it from one billion or what?

AlexMitchley And the same thugs are still MP’s 😡

AlexMitchley He's been messing up ever since he took over from Zuma so it's understandable

AlexMitchley R100m for what seriously they they say SA is broke my ass. Create jobs n stop wasting money that R100m can help a lot of students n unemployed grads.

AlexMitchley During the time of JGZ inauguration the country was not in such a big financial crisis compared to current.

AlexMitchley FFS this useless ANCancer know how to waste money!! And yet they are voted in again to run our country further into the ground... godhelpus

Dlamini-Zuma was visiting the IEC centre in KwaZulu-Natal and during a walkabout, said she was satisfied with the party's performance at the polls at the time. Salute to that let it be something written in black n white Given the track record, it seems unlikely.
