The suspect was held in custody until April 2 while police investigated and verified his residential address.“A member of Soshanguve K9 was driving in Daan De Wet Nel Drive when he was stopped by someone saying he was the victim of business robbery.”He said the victim managed to free himself and reported the incident to police.He said when the suspects were cornered, they pulled out their guns.
“A shootout between the suspects and the police ensued, resulting in police firing nine rounds at the suspects,” said Legodi.“The Venture had five bullet holes and it is unknown if the suspects that got away were injured.” Legodi said a case of business robbery was opened at Akasia Police Station for further investigation.
