After a report that ChatGPT owner OpenAI is developing a web search product that would compete with Google , Alphabet 's stock fell as concerns about risks posed by rival artificial intelligence services to its Google search business emerged.

Microsoft, which has invested in OpenAI and incorporated ChatGPT features into Bing, has so far failed to gain market share. Analysts believe that creating a viable competitor in the search market won't be easy for OpenAI.
