New Kaizer Chiefs coach has to be ‘arrogant’ says Doc Khumalo

The Soweto Giants finished 10th, thus failing to qualify for the MTN8 competition which starts early next season

. Chiefs brought in Molefi Ntseki as coach before the start of the season but the ex-Bafana Bafana boss only lasted four months.This past weekend, Khumalo said Kaizer Chiefs lacked personality these days and the new coach needs to bring that. “It’s an exodus of chopping and changing coaches also because personality determines whether you are a winner. At Kaizer Chiefs, when you look at the chairman, his personality speaks volumes. Kaizer Chiefs have always maintained a coach that has arrogance,” said Doc Khumalo on“Players need to understand that this is Kaizer Chiefs that has supporters, that are used to a culture of winning trophies.

“When I signed, they were 12-14 top players at the club and I was made to be part of that. They marshalled me, they were building a personality. There’s no way you go and face your opponents and they don’t feel you, that’s a loss already,” Khumalo said.Kaizer Chiefs brought in nine new players and a coach but fell short and Khumalo blames lack of leadership. The 56-year-old former Bafana Bafana midfielder said a lot has gone wrong for the team and management needed to fix the situation.
