A teen author from Mitchells Plain is set to release her second book ‘Invisible Teen’, a compilation of poems that ‘takes readers on a journey’ that sets out to explore adolescence.
, in addition to having her second book to be released, Leila Alexander has also been nominated for a Cape Flats Literacy award.Alexander has previously been awarded a Pen Soldiers in Africa award for her debut book ‘Young Mind… Unspoken Thoughts’ at the sixth African Annual Global Authors Honoree Awards, last year in 2023.
