Minnie Dlamini: Don’t let the world crush your dreams

After keeping her business under wraps for five years, Dlamini has surprised fans with a skincare range

Last week, Dlamini announced on Instagram that she was launching her skincare range, MD, surprising fans and close friends alike after keeping her business venture a secret for the past five years. “Finally, I have grown,” she said. “Nine years ago, I was a young girl standing in a long queue auditioning for Live Amp – look at me now,” she said, giggling.

“I am so grateful to have longevity and a successful career. Every year, I have reinvented myself because, as a TV personality, you always worry about your relevance and when your next gig is going to come along.”But she didn’t give up on her dream of creating and selling merchandise. Although she doesn’t have plans yet for her double celebration, she is definitely going to celebrate it in style.
