Police Minister Bheki Cele was in the right when he refused to extend IPID head, Robert McBride's contract according to Parliament's Police Portfolio Committee.
JOHANNESBURG - Questions are being raised as to who will replace Robert McBride as the head of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate . On Thursday, Parliament's Police Portfolio Committee said Police Minister Bheki Cele did nothing wrong when he refused to extend McBride's contract.MPs threatened over McBride contractThe Committee found Cele was right to not extend McBride's contract due to an extreme breakdown of trust between McBride and the minister, his lapsed security clearance and an allegation of labour harassment against him.
McBride says the allegations against him are nothing but a political smear campaign because he has sensitive investigations underway. The DA boycotted the committee's adoption of final recommendations saying the whole process was a sham and it suits the ANC to tarnish McBride as a loose cannon because he is trying to expose corruption in police ranks and the ruling party
All indications show the guy was doing his job without fear or favour. Well, he may have been good, but like all of us his tenure is over...its time to give other captains a chance and see how they take sail.

That's easy: An ANCcadre acceptable to BhekiCele & those terrified of what's going to come out in the wash if any of the senior cops whom McBride planned to arrest, actually make it to court!
Karma comes in maannyy ways 😭😭
It would seem that the Zuma faction still hold sway over a large portion of the MYANC circles! The Macbride debacle was originally initiated by a Zuma acolyte,Nathi Nhleko! It's finalization is now forced onto poor spineless Bheki Cele by rudderless MPs who just follow orders!
Finally ... one of the rotten eggs is chucked out ... yay!
South Africa the only country fighting corruption by removing corruption busters from their positions 😭😭
Anyone not being used by afriforum

You write like he's dead or something.. McBride is still very much alive, so no need to worry, he'll resurface somewhere else again like all ANC filth does.
