The premier added that the next two weeks would be crucial as the province monitored the compliance of its hotspots.

Gauteng Premier David Makhura is of the view that if the province can achieve compliance at Level 4 of the lockdown, then it will move to Level 3 “much quicker”.

“I would like the people of our province to know that greater levels of compliance with all the measures at Level 4, then we will move to Level 3 much quicker.” “We can only get to Level 3 with a lot of the sweat that we put into Level 4 – there is no magic about it,” he added. “I don’t want anyone thinking that we are enjoying the fact that the economy is closed. We are not enjoying being on Level 4, we would like to move to Level 3, but we are realistic people.
