Sabrina Dhowre Elba is a Canadian model who co-founded S'able Labs with her husband, Idris Elba, about 20 months ago. In conversation with Forbes Woman Africa's managing editor Renuka Methil, the model-turned-entrepreneur spoke about the brand, its objectives and the pillars of her advocacy. She also shared what she enjoys about South African food before promising to bring her husband along on her next visit.
Her courage as she spoke was only interrupted by uncontainable applause at specific points of her story, as everyone did an involuntary introspection when she said:"My stroke was a stroke of luck." Over a year after she had to learn language, and speaking like a 3-year-old, Lira mesmerised an audience of more than 1 000 women and men who couldn't help but be inspired by her hope.
