ANC Chairperson, Gwede Mantashe followed by Zizi Kodwa, who are among 30 party members whose candidacy for parliament and provincial legislatures has been objected to.Independent Electoral Commission has informed the ANC that all the objections submitted against their candidates - who are going to represent the party either in the National Assembly and in the provincial legislatures - have been dismissed.
"Earlier this evening we received formal communication from the IEC informing us that all objections to ANC candidates have been dismissed," Nel's message read. IEC informed the ANC that of the objections to some of their candidates, among the names attached in the correspondence by the IEC to the ANC are cabinet ministers - Nomvula Mokonyane, Bathabile Dlamini, Zweli Mkhize, Angie Motshekga and Bheki Cele.
Former North West premier Supra Mahumapelo, who is on the list for the national assembly, has also been objected to, along with MPs Cedric Frolick and Vincent Smith, whose names were recently linked to the Bosasa scandal by the company's former chief operating officer Angelo Agrizzi.
The people can make the final decision on 8 May
Did not expect anything else...IEC not independent...shame
I think the time is now to teach this croocks a lesson
nealcol There's clear rules and the IEC has to follow the rules qha
IEC is ANC !
What did you expect? It is election time and all dirty tricks are at play! Some of these names, received money scrupulously, from who? Corrupt whites! Again the inflation of prices is what they made into lae/policy; government buying through a 3rd party in the disguise of jobs!
QaanitahHunter That must have cost a pretty penny.
Does this mean IEC can now rig elections for them
There goes ANC unity down the drain
But if one is not satisfied with IECSouthAfrica he has a legal right to approach court than squabbling on tweeter
But they must revisits the ANC s list
That’s expected, the IEC works based on law, not feelings of a minority section of society; None of people objected can be removed based on allegations.
This is very simple you dont like the list there are other options you can take like vote for another party or just dont vote
Y are people who are not going to vote ANC complaining, thats the whole purpose of having elections. So u can stop complaining and vote. Only ANC voters should be complaining now
A new Nightmare!! Not a dawn.
alfred_cabonena So an 'independent' organisation in effect run by the ANC finds no problem with ANC criminals... What a non surprise.
QaanitahHunter I hereby request you to please look into the NSFAS issue whereby NSFAS has not migrated and funded all the 2018 NSFAS students to 2019 and marked them as funded yet. These students have no money for food, books and accommodation and Mid year exams are next month.
This will fuel the factions. But it's non of our business. Thumanani by yourselves. TshelaThupa
Can we trust this IEC? I'm doubtful now...they behave like bloody agents!!!
QaanitahHunter No surprises there
Come on guys. Nothing to see here. The iec is super independent. Like the hawks. And shaun the sheep. And our “public protector”. The election will be extremely free and fair.
DavidMilis Meaning the same thieves are going to parliament
Those who were objecting , they wanted to dictate ANC branches and capture an entire ANC
Jizzzzzzzz🤕
Why am I not surprised?
IEC long captured to keep Anc in power no matter what
What a joke
Did they accept any objections from any other party?
I guess the ANC Integrity Committee have an opening line already for their report if there will be one. IECSouthAfrica is funded by gov and gov is ANC so go figure.
It's not who votes that counts, it's who counts the votes that counts. ANC counts the votes. Anyway ANC runs a whole lot of things guys. Criminals aren't going anywhere. Not any time soon. It's the ruling party. Their leaders often say they'll rule until Jesus comes back.
Now that IEC has dismissed the objections. Will MYANC continue with “integrity” process?🤔

IEC gets objections to 30 names on ANC list, including five ministersANC deputy president David Mabuza and the party's national chairperson Gwede Mantashe are among 30 ANC members whose candidacy for Parliament and the provincial legislatures has been objected to by South Africans who cited allegations of state capture, fraud and rape among the reasons for objecting. People are egocentric & are in politics for their stomachs. Why would one accept nomination when ones image is so tainted. No love for the movement anymore but a rush for gold. This will cost the ANC dearly. The late stalwards of the movement must be turning in their graves. They're are leaving out no. 1 tsotsi. Ordained WMC puppet LIAR & gatekeeper CyrilRamaphosa for lying under oath in parliament about BOSASA bribes. Why is he not objected to? Why object people which are nominated by the members of Anc?can't people simple vote for another party
