Patriots will convene at venues around South Africa to mark Human Rights Day at the Constitution Hill Human Rights Festival. The festival will feature conversations, exhibitions, art, film, live performances, and a peaceful protest. Mmabatho Montsho, a multi-award-winning director, will curate the film segment of the festival.

On Thursday, 21 March, patriots will convene at venues around South Africa to mark Human Rights Day , which commemorates the lives that were lost in the 1960 Sharpeville massacre, when apartheid police fired live ammunition at civilians protesting against oppression.

On the four days from 21 to 24 March, NGOs, social justice organisations, media partners and members of the public will engage in conversations to dissect human rights issues at the Constitution Hill Human Rights Festival in Braamfontein, Johannesburg. Exhibitions, art, film and live performances will also be presented. The festival will come to a close with a peaceful protest dubbed We The People, Walk, on Sunday, 24 March. Multi-award-winning director Mmabatho Montsho puts her expertise into practice as she curates the film segment of this year's instalment of the Constitution Hill Human Rights FestivalMulti-award-winning South African actor, director and creative Mmabatho Montsho’s vast industry experience will come in handy in her role as the curator of the film and exhibition segments of the festival.As you walk into our film venue, you will be greeted by a collage of images and videos taken on the ground by Palestinian photojournalists, which we have put together.
