Human Rights Day: Mixed emotions, but not much to celebrate, say some citizens

The country commemorates and honours those who fought for the liberation of the country from apartheid on Thursday - and to celebrate the rights we enjoy today.

"In terms of the realisation of human rights to enable people to enjoy the fruits of democracy, it has been a mixed bag," said a former commissioner of the SA Human Rights Commission , advocate André Gaum.
