The police in the Garden Route District in conjunction with the Outeniqualand Farm Watch and various other role-players conducted a simulation exercise on a farm in Groot Brakrivier on Saturday, 13 April 2024. This simulation exercise forms part of continued efforts to safeguard rural communities through collaborated crime prevention strategies. The exercise was attended by the district police management, Community Police Forums, local farm watch structures and observers from the farming community. The aim of the exercise was to assess the operational readiness of the various stakeholders to respond to incidents on farms and its surrounding areas.
The SAPS remains committed to work closely with community police forums, farm watches, neighbourhood watches, community in blue and other stakeholders to safeguard farming communities.
