rylandfisher WeekendArgus Yes it is difficult + extremely fustrating because you don't have any control. I do not think it will get better, this will take years, so adaption to this new reality needs to happen, unless CR allows for solar plants which could speed things up.

Slim chance of load-shedding for weekend, Eskom warns system still vulnerableThe power utility says it’s due to further improvement in generating performance and notable strides in replenishing diesel and water reserves. A 'slim chance' is still a chance, yes? So effectively Eskom continues to keep an entire country on tenterhooks, as the lights can still go out at any time.... Lemme just translate that from eskom speak. They know they're going to loadshed at some point in the week they're just not saying it. Sunday will be the good old replenish water/diesel story. Why does Eskom not sort out the Coal Contractors. That's the issue. Assign Tenders fairly and pay them. South Africa does not have a shortage of coal.

#LoadShedding: Italian engineers roped in, but will Eskom survive until April? On Wednesday, Eskom revealed it is technically insolvent and will fail to exist at the current rate by April. Once more spending more money on people outside of SA when we can utilize the skills & resources that we have. When they leave & problems occur then blame it on the Italians! Let’s use the local engineers, wake up & smell the coffee You mean the local boys sitting at home are the wrong color . Or do they have to speak Italian to unders tand and get the job done . So there are no qualified engineers in this whole country to deal with loadshedding?

With Rand also depreciating everything will go up in price. We can’t afford to kill consumer confidence so taxes must be cut in budget. Govt must find funds in its costs and fatcat cabinet must be slashed. 15 ministers no deputies limited blue Iights less travel We want to know the names of the owners of the 27 IPP that have just signed agreements with the Government ie Out tax money therefore we want know who they are !
