Elon Musk sent an email to Twitter employees requiring them to pledge to stay with the company, working long hours at “high intensity” during its transformation, or to accept a buyout.

Elon Musk sent an email to Twitter Inc. employees requiring them to pledge to stay with the company, working long hours at “high intensity” during its transformation, or to accept a buyout.

“Yes” was the only option to click, before “Submit.” That left workers with a lot of questions about the nature of the agreement. If an employee needed accommodation for a disability or needed go on medical leave, “you can’t fire them for that. And to me, it seems like that’s what he is promising to do, or at least threatening to do, without addressing those specific situations.”

elonmusk is more concerned about hours. Common sense will tell you that getting thing done (productivity) is more valuable than long working hours. If my employee tweeted as much as he did during working hours than he would have been dismissed for loafing. What a actor 🙄

'FREE SPEECH ABSOLUTIST': Elon Musk steps up purge of Twitter engineers who criticise himWhat began as the firing of two longtime Twitter engineers after they criticised their new boss has turned into a purge, as Elon Musk clamps down on internal and external dissent. From what I see, they are making it clear they don’t want to work for him, and elonmusk is solving that dilemma for them. If I bitched about my boss through public channels, I wouldn’t expect to be kept on Shees. I followed the tweets. This isn't even close to what the full exchange was. Damn I hate hit pieces. You shit on your boss on social media and expect to keep your job? 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Whats the world coming into 🙄🙄🙄
