Tens of thousands of people make up Pennsylvania's inmate population and many of them are recidivists.

Daniel Mamary, 21, of Dover, pleaded guilty to one felony count of aggravated assault for his role in beating Zachary Young to death in York on May 18, 2022.

Charges of simple assault, conspiracy - aggravated assault - attempts to cause serious bodily injury or causes injury with extreme indifference and conspiracy - simple assault were dropped, court documents show. York City Police were called to the 200 block of West Jackson Street on May 18, 2022 for reports of a suspicious man trespassing onto a housing unit.
