President Donald Trump told famed reporter Bob Woodward back in March that he played down the threat of the coronavirus to avoid a panic.

that he didn’t publish an article based on the interview right away because he was unsure where Trump was getting his information and didn’t know if it was accurate.

Woodward said it took him until May to confirm that Trump’s information originated from a high-level intelligence briefing in January, and said he didn’t publish then because “he believes his highest purpose isn’t to write daily stories but to give his readers the big picture — one that may have a greater effect, especially with a consequential election looming,” according to Washington Post media columnist Margaret Sullivan.

American Hero Bob Woodward exposing another Republican Crook. But this one is a Russian Spy, GREAT WORK SIR!

This is a Nothing Book.. Trump always was positive and optimistic.. That’s exactly what he said.. “Don’t Panic but be safe!”

withholding this sort of information is border line criminal. So many have died due to the lack of informed responses. How many more have to die before we finally get it right?!

The trouble with him resigning... Pence takes his place, can pardon him if charges come and stick.

Interesting timing of Woodward when Biden just now is getting out of the basement. And interesting that Biden had time to craft his remarks before the Woodward story got out. One hand washes the other.

Calling out Trump months ago wouldn’t have changed his response. Also, his base would have continued to defend him. Fake outrage.

“he believes his highest purpose isn’t to write daily stories but to give his readers the big picture — one that may have a greater effect, especially with a consequential election looming,” in case some of you illiterates don’t bother to read the article.

I hope no one buys this book!

What Ever

How tf could you have this information back at the beginning of FEBRUARY and have sat on it!!!! Disgraceful!

It’s September, he had long enough to see where he was getting his information

May still would have been better than September... he’s a hypocrite profiteer. Should’ve told us this earlier.

When American tells you it's not about the $$$ it's always about the $$$ baby!!!

Is this something important?

Is this market watch? lying is not showing calm... its lying. taking decisive action would have shown calm. Trump, In Bob Woodward Interview, Said He Played Down Coronavirus’s SeverityPresident Trump told journalist Bob Woodward this spring that he was deliberately playing down the severity of the coronavirus to avoid inciting panic, an effort that public-health experts say harmed the nation’s ability to restrict its spread. FDR played down the Great Depression. In other words, and according to Columbia University (citing the impact on his inaction) tRump killed ~175,000 Americans by lying, calling it a hoax and not putting a national plan in place. And we're still talking about a tight election?! Let's talk about crimes against humanity 'I wanted' to not 'I did' Bit of a difference when Woodward is asking about a 'a pivot' in Trump's mind.
