The California Department of Public Health used the 47-year-old's experience in a warning about the dangers of buying skin products imported from Mexico.

A Sacramento woman has been hospitalized in a semi-comatose state after using face cream purchased from a pharmacy in Jalisco, Mexico, that was tainted with methylmercury, county officials announced this week.

Sacramento County officials would not say more about her condition, citing patient protection laws, but theused the woman’s experience in a warning about the dangers of buying skin products imported from Mexico. Selling products with more than one microgram of mercury per liter is illegal in the U.S., according to the California Department of Public Health.

The woman went to the ER with numbness in her hands and face and slurred speech. Her condition worsened over time. At first, she could respond to verbal commands - later, she began moaning and thrashing and had to be restrained in bed. Yeah, she was ignored.

SandraBridges1 usually that's the case with things from China. There's probably lead in everything.

It's so sad ! People make money with wrong doing to other human being . Products was from Mexico . But Some Store Sell things in America but products from different Countries & there is no dates expire seal -- that can be dangerous ! 🍂

Build the wall! Tariffs on all creams! Geezzzz, sorry for that woman tho. Hope she gets better.
