The state of play has changed since 2016. Governments and social media platforms have stronger countermeasures, leading Russia and China to rely on more official channels. But phony social media agitation has gotten more sophisticated and harder to spot.

It isn’t so hard to spot.

Elections - In 2020 there's overt & covert home grown election interference & propaganda by the Trump administration. Foreign election interference is more sophisticated in 2020 than 2016 or 2018. Their goal is to destroy the US by promoting anger, distrust & splinter groups.

So many people duped into voting for Trump because of those Facebook posts...
