I can't walk for shit, but cycle two hours a day...
This is a concerning finding, as many people today have jobs that require them to sit for long periods of time. It's important to prioritize regular movement and exercise throughout the day to combat the negative effects of prolonged sitting.
Is it really the sitting that causes dementia though or rather the activities that are connected with sitting🤔
A Sedentary Lifestyle is really becoming an issue in the youth too especially in the U.S. and no one is even addressing it.
I'm at my standing desk now as I read this
Does this say the odds are the same if you sit, or if you are super active?
I stood up to read this.
'Sitting' is the new smoking people's are addicted. It is as dengerous as smoking.
This is nonsense
As per your article, more than 60% of working adults and college students should be dead soon. Very pessimistic. I know a librarian that lived for 93 years, though he spent most of his life sitting.
Always be active 💪
So what's the health risks of too much standing?
Armando_Ribeiro Not to mention, hemroids, Armando.
Those are legs of a person who use to run a lot. Then stopped running and the muscles deteriorated and what’s left are veins.
This is why I get up and go lay down every 30 min.
Please tell Lagos traffic.
I'm ready to die, it's ok.
You gotta stand for something.
Does it include sitting on a bicycle
Many of those factors can be related to lack of physical activity rather… it’s also important to consider what we do when we are not sitting (ie adequate physical activity)
We often ignore how important exercise is. If you are not a gym person developing a routine to walk every day and to stretch you legs walking around your office every 60 minutes will make a huge change. Sitting long hours is damaging for your health!
😳wow
I work out everyday in the Morning. Is it Safe ?
Thank you for the knowledge
😔 I've been taking care of a TBI person the last 4 yrs. All he does is just sit. No motivation no fidgeting, nothing just sits. And dementia runs in his family.

Problem is : I love reading.
What about people who meditate a lot?
What if you sit and read
What if you’re disabled?
kevinrj So. Curious. What about folks in wheelchairs?
tttinkerbellll Gives new meaning to when the Fonz said to ‘sit on it!’
Thank you. Ergonomics quest for more productive sitting position possibilities.
Golf 🏌️♂️ good eXcerCise or Bicycle 🚲... be active... go Fishing 🎣!
