United States Postal Service employees are already the unsung heroes of the holiday season due to the uptick in deliveries. However,
The unidentified postal employee was out on delivery Sunday when he suddenly smelled and saw smoke coming from his mail truck, Osawatomie Fire Chief Brian Love told CNN. The postman quickly pulled to the side of the road and realized he wasn't able to control the fire. That's when he sprang into action rescuing packages from the back of his truck. According to Chief Love, the front half of the mail truck was fully engulfed when the fire department arrived.
I especially LOVED delivering on Christmas Eve and Christmas as a 'casual employee' of USPS. Families were so grateful! I had a definite bounce in my step and wore an elf's hat. It was FUN!
I bet he was fired after returning to the post office. Drug tested for sure. Delivering on Sunday, he was likely a substitute carrier subject to trial period conditions which include being fired for any accident. I burned up a rotor on a new postal vehicle after hitting a boulder
People do the right things every day. Their behavior should be emulated and rewarded. This postal officer deserves our collective thanks. Merry Christmas.
that's a positive energy.
That’s a great Christmas story
